Syrian leader unveils truce, reintegration deal with SDF in northeast
According to details released by official announcements, the agreement calls for an immediate and all-encompassing halt to fighting along every front line and point of contact between government troops and SDF forces.
The understanding comes into force alongside the pullback of all armed groups linked to the SDF toward territories east of the Euphrates River, a move described as an initial phase ahead of their redeployment.
Under the terms of the accord, the provinces of Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa are transferred without delay to full state authority, both on the administrative and security levels. This handover includes all public institutions and service facilities operating in the two areas.
The agreement also ensures that existing staff members in Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa remain in their positions under the relevant government ministries, while guaranteeing that no punitive actions are taken against SDF fighters or civil administration personnel in those provinces.
In addition, the deal provides for the absorption of all civilian bodies in Hasakah province into national state institutions and formal administrative frameworks.
As part of the broader arrangement, the Syrian government takes control of all border crossings as well as oil and gas installations across the region. These locations are placed under state security supervision to ensure that their revenues are redirected back to the national treasury, according to official statements.
